about project

Mapping projects

National Highways (formerly Highways England) operate motorways and major A roads in England. They also build new roads to extend the network. Maps are essential to inform the public about changes to the network.

  • Fixed road crossings over the River Thames.
This map describes the disparity between the number of crossings in west and central London compared to those in the East. This was used to explain the need for a 2nd crossing east of London crossing - the Lower Thames crossing (LTC).
  • Lower Thames crossing route map.

  • Lower Thames crossing route map - abstract.
This version was used to illustrate a brochure.
  • A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme.
